My Story
I’m the youngest of nine and grew up in San Antonio, which probably explains why I’m naturally wired to connect with people.

I got my start in real estate working as an assistant in my mom’s office—she was a Realtor focused on million-dollar homes. From there, I built over 30 years of experience across mortgage lending, commercial brokerage, collections and loss mitigation, title & escrow, and insurance.

Along the way, I’ve lived and worked in San Antonio, Austin, the San Francisco Bay Area, Portland, Dallas, Scottsdale, and now Colorado.

I’ve spent years putting myself out there—networking events, trade shows, cold calling—meeting people across all industries. I’ve seen the good, the bad, and everything in between. I’ve been let down, judged, taken advantage of… and I’ve learned what actually works when it comes to building real business relationships.

Over time, I realized something:
I naturally became the person people came to for networking advice, introductions, and referrals.

Seeing the look on people's faces when a new connection turns into a client and ultimately a closed deal is what makes me happy.

Volunteering and helping others was always important to me—but I wanted to do more. That’s when I decided to turn what I do best into something intentional: helping professionals build meaningful connections that actually lead to opportunities.

Today, through BNBC – Burkett Network Business Consultant, I work with people across industries—especially those in and around real estate—to help them network smarter, get in front of the right people, and grow their business through real relationships. Those that really know me, know that I come up with epiphanies all the time.

On a personal note, I met my husband in Dallas in 2006 and we married in 2008. I like to joke at networking events that we have “no kids, no priors”—meaning no prior marriages.

We enjoy golfing, cooking, playing music, and taking spontaneous adventure drives whenever we can.
